Persona

It’s 11.30pm and I just reach home from office but I couldn’t help myself from writing another entry as I’ve just learnt something, no, actually I knew it long ago but now I’m convinced by evidences.

I was told, I’ve read, been there, done that about not to judge a book by its cover and couldn’t agree more on that idiom. Literally, it is true not to judge a book by its cover but through its content depending on how and what you judge. Interpret it yourself because my concern is not about book.

I’ve met a lot of people who is so typically having mind set that ladies wearing hijab is good and ladies who didn’t wear hijab is vise versa. Who are you to conclude as such? Who are you to decide whether a person belongs to hell or heaven? After all, you just don’t know what he or she went through. If it’s true that the ladies who don’t wear hijab are immoral, why should other share some sin due to her wrongdoings? I’m not saying that I’m sin-proof kind of person but I try not to involve in such malicious gossips.

I have friends who wear hijab, and few not yet wearing it (I pray that they’ll open their heart to wear it without any enforcement by anyone accept Allah). It happens to me that a few of my friends have better attitude and very good hearts compare to those who cover thier heads up. When asked, they said that “I’m not ready to cover my head but I know it’s a sin, thus I’m not going to make any more sin”. And I was thinking like ‘so those who veiled up must come up with theory as I’m good enough, I wear head scarf and better than those who don’t, so I’m a sin-proof’. Huh? Again, it’s Allah who can judge and have the righteous to label you either you’re good or bad in person.

I’m not urging ladies out there to uncover your head but it seems like people wearing hijab not because it’s explicitly stated in Quran or it’s an observance of Allah, but more towards fashion and trend. Tendencies to follow current style without understanding the meaning of wearing it and how important to cover up all the aurah are higher than to know the basic or having knowledge to do so. Plus, only few who cover their aurah thoroughly, some even wear T-shirt. Arms and neck should be covered completely. ::batas-aurat-wanita::

Women out there, who wear hijab, but forget to wear virtue demeanor, why don’t you making hijab as veil to bad attitude? Put barriers towards yourself like ‘I’m wearing hijab, I should show better persona than those who are not wearing hijab’ etc. (I’m reminding myself as well) If I want to state all the worthiness of wearing hijab, it took pages. You can google them yourself.

Ps: please have no offence towards what I wrote because I’m not stating all of them who wear hijab, I’m saying just a few. And I’m not putting into words that women who don’t cover their heads up is better than those who did. To those who cover up and have beautiful demeanor, congratulations and keep it up. To those who not yet wearing it, may Allah show you the path towards better passage to heaven. Peace.

And say to the believing women that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty; that they should not display their beauty and ornaments except what (must ordinarily) appear thereof; that they should draw their veils over their bosoms and not display their beauty except to their husbands, their fathers, their husband's fathers, their sons, their husbands' sons, their brothers or their brothers' sons, or their sisters' sons, or their women, or the slaves whom their right hands possess, or male servants free of physical needs, or small children who have no sense of the shame of sex; and that they should not strike their feet in order to draw attention to their hidden ornaments. And O ye Believers! turn ye all together towards Allah, that ye may attain Bliss.

Wallahu'alam..
