Comeback Pt 1 (Drive Safe)

Whew, that was a long period since I didn't write. Anyway, first and foremost, Assalamualaikum everyone. Well, new year is coming, what have you achieved? What is your resolutions for next year? Have you fulfill your dreams and promises? Well, this year have been quite a roller coaster for me. Nevertheless, above all, I accomplished what I targeted, despite the conflicts which come in the package.

I've started missing my blog, eagerly wanting to dance my finger on the keyboard. It's not that I don't have entry to write, actually there are a lot that I wanna say, I just don't have time, a lot that I have to accomplish, datelines and paperworks, meetings and so on. Yes, a lot that I've been through and I couldn't thank Allah enough for bringing me such a pleasant journey. Such, really. I don't deny the unpleasant things happen in my life lately but I know that eventually, He will grant me something that is beyond my expectations, and He did. He give me rainbows!

Hence, I will write this entry by parts since there are a lot to talk about but the topics are differ.

Part 1:
Last three months, I had an accident, a car accident, but a very minor one (thank Allah). I was on my way balik kampung, it's raining and slippery road and I'd just change the engine oil and oil filter. Despite all those that I mentioned, I shouldn't blame the condition because it can't be controlled, I should be more in control I suppose.
Burger! Mine is the bun (last car to hit em')

Worst car wrecked

Total cars collided are 8 in a row!

So, fellas, lesson to be learned, I'm advising you (and me myself mostly) to:
  • Drive carefully especially when it's raining
  • Make sure the distance between your car and front vehicle is a safe distance. I've been educate that the least distance is two-car distance with your vehicle running just only 16km/h. So, imagine if you're running 90km/h, please do the math.
  • Drive in the middle lane most of the time (especially during the bad weather) because the vehicle in the fast lane they tend to brake by emergency.
  • Use the hand-brake when it comes to the emergency situation
  • Pump the brake twice or more to have better grip, control the steering wheel
  • Do not panic and remember Allah and hold on to Him
  • It's kinda important to turn down the volume of audio system so that you have better hearing and clearer picture of what is going on outside your vehicle.
Nonetheless, every cloud has it's silver lining. Whatever happen, it happens for a reason, thus all I need to do is thank Allah that nobody hurts.
Wow, such a great feeling, brain-organized and satisfaction to write again. Awesome. I'll write the next part in nearest time.

Marhaban ya Ramadhan..

Assalamualaikum dear readers. The month of blessing is just around the corner, Marhaban ya Ramadhan al-Mubarak. Here I would love to share with you a few common mistakes that we thought simple and tend to neglect to even notice. I may seem a lil' bit longer than my usual post but it's worth to share. ^^,

Taking Ramadhaan as a ritual
For many of us Ramadhaan has lost its spirituality and has become more
of a ritual ( Stereotyped behaviour) than a form of Ibaadah. We fast
from morning to night like a zombie (living dead)just because everyone
around us is fasting too. We forget that its a time to purify our hearts
and our souls from all evil. We forget to make Dua, forget to beseech
Allah to forgive us and ask Him to save us from the Fire.  Sure we stay
away from food and drink but that’s about all?

Too much stress on food and drink
For some people, the entire month of Ramadhaan revolves around food. They
spend the ENTIRE day planning, cooking, shopping and thinking about only
food, instead of concentrating on Salaah, Quraan and other acts of worship.
All they can think of is FOOD so much so that they turn the month of ‘fasting’
into the month of ‘feasting’.

Spending all day cooking
Some of the sisters (either by their own choice or forced by their husbands)
are cooking ALL day and ALL night, so that by the end of the day, they are
too tired to even pray Ishaa, let alone pray Taraweeh or Tahajjud or even
read Quraan. This is the month of mercy and forgiveness. So turn off that
stove and turn on your Imaan!

Eating too much
Some people stuff themselves at Suhoor (Sehree) until they are ready to burst,
because they think this is the way to not feel hungry during the day and some
people eat at Iftaar, like there is no tomorrow, trying to ‘make up for the food
missed.’ However, this is completely against the Sunnah. Moderation is the key
to everything. The Prophet (SAW) said: “The son of Adam does not fill any
vessel worse than his stomach; for the son of Adam a few mouthfuls are
sufficient to keep his back straight. If you must fill it, then one-third for food,
one-third for drink and one-third for air.” (Tirmidhi, Ibn Maajah. Saheeh by
al-Albaani).
Too much food distracts a person from many deeds of obedience and worship,
makes him lazy and also makes the heart heedless.

Sleeping all day
Some people spend their entire day (or a major part of it) ’sleeping away their
fast’. Is this what is really required of us during this noble month? These
people also are missing the purpose of fasting and are slaves to their desires
of comfort and ease. They cannot ‘bear’ to be awake and face a little hunger
or exert a little self-control. For a fasting person to spend most of the
day asleep is nothing but, negligence on his part.

Wasting time
The month of Ramadhaan is a precious, It is so much precious so that Allah
calls this monthAyyamum Ma’doodaat“ (A fixed number of days). Before we
know it, this month of mercy and forgiveness will be over. We should try and
spend every moment possible in the worship of Allah so that we can make the
most of this blessing. However, there are some of us who waste away their
day playing video games, or worse still, watching TV, movies or even listening
to music. Subhaana Allah! Trying to obey Allah by DISOBEYING him!

Fasting but not giving evil
Some of us fast but do not give up lying, cursing, fighting, backbiting, etc. and
some of us fast but do not give up cheating, stealing, dealing in haraam,
buying lotto tickets, selling alcohol, fornication, etc. and all kinds of
impermissible things without realizing that the purpose of fasting is to not stay
away from food and drink; rather the aim behind it is to fear Allah.
“O you who believe! Fasting is prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those
before you, that you may become Al-Muttaqoon (the pious)” [al-Baqarah 2:183]
The Prophet (SAW) said: “Whoever does not give up false speech and acting
upon it, and ignorance, Allah has no need of him giving up his food and drink.” (Bukhaari)

Smoking
Smoking is forbidden in Islam whether during Ramadhaan or outside of it, as it
is one of al-Khabaa’ith (evil things). And this includes ALL kinds of ’smoking
material’ eg.cigars, cigarettes, pipes,’Sheesha’, hookah etc.“he allows them
as lawful At Tayyibaat (all good and lawful things), and prohibits them as
unlawful Al Khabaa’ith (all evil and unlawful things) [al-A'raaf :157]
It is harmful, not only to the one smoking, but also to the ones around him. It
is also a means of wasting ones wealth. The Prophet (SAW) said: “There
should be no harming or reciprocating harm.” This is especially true during
fasting and it invalidates the fast.(Fatwa -Ibn ‘Uthaymeen)

Skipping Sahur
The Prophet (SAW) said: “Eat suhoor for in suhoor there is blessing.”
(Bukhaari, Muslim). And he (SAW) said: “The thing that differentiates between
our fasting and the fasting of the People of the Book is eating suhoor.”
(Muslim)

Missing the golden chance of having your Dua' accepted
The prayer of the fasting person is guaranteed to be accepted at the time of
breaking fast. The Prophet (SAW) said: “Three prayers are not rejected: the
prayer of a father, the prayer of a fasting person, and the prayer of a traveler.”
(al-Bayhaqi, saheeh by al-Albaani).
Instead of sitting down and making Dua at this precious time, some people
forego this beautiful chance, and are too busy frying samosas, talking, setting
the food, filling their plates and glasses, etc. Think about it…. Is food more
important than the chance to have your sins forgiven or the fulfillment of your
Duas.

Fasting but not praying
The fasting of one who does not pray WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. This is because
not praying constitutes kufras the Prophet (SAW) said: “Between a man and
shirk and kufr there stands his giving up prayer.” (Muslim) In fact, NONE of
his good deeds will be accepted; rather, they are all annulled.
“Whoever does not pray ‘Asr, his good deeds will be annulled.” (Bukhaari)

Mixing fasting & dieting
DO NOT make the mistake of fasting with the intention to diet. That is one of
the biggest mistakes some of us make (esp. sisters). Fasting is an act of
worship and can only be for the sake of Allah alone. Otherwise, mixing it with
the intention of dieting may become a form of (minor) Shirk.

Fighting over number of rakaah of Tarawikh
There is no specific number of rak’ahs for Tarawikh prayer, rather it is
permissible to do a little or a lot. Both 8 and 20 are okay.Shaykh Ibn
‘Uthaymeen said: “No one should be denounced for praying eleven or
twenty-three (raka’ah), because the matter is broader in scope than that,
praise be to Allah.”

Wasting the last part of Ramadhan preparing for Eid
Some people waste the entire last 10 days of Ramadhaan preparing for Eid,
shopping and frequenting malls, etc. neglecting Ibadah and Lailatul Qadr.
Although, the Prophet (SAW) used to strive the hardest during the last ten
days of Ramadhaan in worship (Ahmad, Muslim) and not in shopping. Buy
whatever you need for Eid before Ramadhaan so that you can utilize the time
in Ramadhaan to the max.Aa’ishah (RA) said: “When the (last) ten nights
began, the Messenger of Allah (SAW)) would tighten his waist-wrapper
(i.e., strive hard in worship or refra in from intimacy with his wives), stay
awake at night and wake his family.” (Bukhaari and Muslim).

We say We Love Islam
But, Do we really follow Allah’s and Our Prophets teaching?

The Secret Of Concentration In Praying (Khusyuk)

There was once a man named Isam son of Yusuf who was disciplined in praying, but he was always afraid that he did not concentrate enough.  He always asked other people who are more experts to continuously perfect his praying.
One day Isam attended a congregation of an expert named Hatim al-Isam and asked, “Dear Father Abdurrahman, how do you pray?”
Hatim said, “When I pray, I would cleanse wudhu my body and soul”
Isam asked, “What is cleansing wudhu body and soul?”
Hatim said, “Bodily cleansing is the normal washing of your body parts as specified, while soul cleansing consists of:
1.  Remorse and regret (ask for forgiveness)
2.  Remorse over previous sins
3.  Not pursuing the world
4.  Do not expect people’s esteem (Riya’)
5.  Leave arrogance
6.  Leave deception and trickery
7.  Leave hatred

Hatim continued, “Then I go to mosque and prepare all my body to face kiblat. I will stand cautiously as if Allah was there in front of me, heaven on my right, hell on my left, and angel of death behind me, and I will picture myself praying above ‘Sirratul Mustaqim’ bridge (a strand of hair split 7 times for hell crossing), and think of it as my last prayer.  I will say my intention and say takbir praise to Allah to the best of my capability.  I ensure that I understand every citation and every prayer.  Then I do ruku’ bending and kneel sujud with sincerity, tasyahud (vowing one God and a messenger) full of hope, and a greeted salaam unconditionally.  That is the way I have been praying for 30 years.

He's my everything

I feel lonely without Him by my side,
He always there, listen to my every single plight,
He's the reason I'm here,
He's the strength I stand with no fear,
He's the only reason I'm still alive,
He's the strength I strive,
He made me thrive.

He grants most of my wishes,
He doesn't care if I'm poor or I'm rich,
He don't get bored we meet often,
He loves I greet Him when everybody is still sleep & sound.

He loves that I praise Him days and nights,
(when some people said I'm just pretending to be pious)
He's my knight,
He's holds me tight,
He keeps me in sight,
He keeps me all right,
He guides me towards the light.

I'm blessed,
I'm tested,
I'm aided,
I'm flattered,
I'm overjoyed to be His slave.
Because of Him I'm well-behave,
Because of Him I control not to deprave,
And I know He is all I have,
He is all I crave and conclave.

Towards a better slave of you, O Allah the Almighty.

Sincerely,
Nuha

When Allah blesses us

Something to ponder upon, a good read I supposed.

As humans, we are made to feel love and attachment towards others. This is part of our human nature.  While we can feel this way about another human being, five times a day we enter into a meeting with our Lord and Creator. I wondered how often we ever felt the whole world disappear while in His presence. Can we really claim that our love for Allah is greater than our love for anyone and anything else?
So often we think that Allah only tests us with hardships, but this isn’t true.  Allah also tests with ease. He tests us with  na`im (blessings) and with the things we love, and it is often in these tests that so many of us fail. We fail because when Allah gives us these blessings, we unwittingly turn them into false idols  in the heart.

When Allah blesses us with money, we depend on the money rather than Allah. We forget that the source of our provision is not and never was the money, but rather it was the giver of that money. Suddenly we’re willing to sell alcohol to avoid losing money in our business, or we need to take out loans with interest to feel secure. In so doing we are foolishly—and ironically—disobeying the Provider in order to protect the provision.

When Allah blesses us with someone that we love, we forget that Allah is the source of that blessing, and we begin to love that person as we should love Allah. That person becomes the center of our world—all our concerns, thoughts, plans, fears, and hopes revolve only around them. And worst is, If they are not even our spouses, we are drawn and willing to fall into haram just to be with them. Sadly most of the times we as human are drawn to a relationships that is haram albeit it brings nothing but sins and burdens.  And if the relationship doesn’t ends well and that person leave us, our whole world would crumble. So now, we have shifted our worship from the Source of the blessing to the blessing itself.
A165

Allah says of such people:“Yet there are men who take (for worship) others besides Allah, as equal (with Allah.: They love them as they should love Allah. But those of Faith are overflowing in their love for Allah. If only the unrighteous could see, behold, they would see the penalty: that to Allah belongs all power, and Allah will strongly enforce the penalty.” (Qur’an 2:165)

It is because of this tendency to lose sight  after Allah has  bestowed His blessings that  He warns us in the Qur’an when He says:
A024
Say, [O Muhammad], ‘If your fathers, your sons, your brothers, your wives, your relatives, wealth which you have obtained, commerce wherein you fear decline, and dwellings with which you are pleased are more beloved to you than Allah and His Messenger and jihad in His cause, then wait until Allah executes His command. And Allah does not guide the defiantly disobedient people.’” (9:24)

It is important to note that all the things listed in the above surah (verse) are halal (permissible) to love and are, in fact, blessings in and of themselves. In fact, some of those blessings are signs of Allah. On the one hand, Allah says:
A021
“And of His signs is that He created for you from yourselves mates that you may find tranquility in them; and He placed between you affection and mercy. Indeed in that are signs for a people who give thought.” (Qur’an 30:21).
A014
But on the other hand, Allah warns:  “O you who have believed, indeed, among your wives and your children are enemies to you, so beware of them.” (Qur’an 64:14)

The warning in this surah is critical. People who we love including our spouses and our children are listed here because they are among the blessings we love the most. And it is in  that which you love most that you find the greatest test.

Diploma, Degree, Dr. or Drop-out?

I don’t think of all the above are essentially important, they’re just pieces of papers. What’s more is Determination and Discipline. Without these two elements you’re nothing. I’m not saying having those are not important but just depend on it so badly. They’re not your absolute destiny.

Just look at Bill Gates, he dropped out of Harvard University and cofounded Microsoft by the age 20, Mozart, wrote one of the best opera of all time by the age of 21.

My theory is, you should learn, and educate yourself all the way through your passage of life. Don’t stop learning. Prophet Muhammad P.B.U.H once said, should thou learn even have to go to China, whether you receive the cert or not eventually.
I, nevertheless, can’t help consuming myself from jealousy to those who earn masters and PhDs and Drs, but if you act and behave like you’re having none, I respect you no more.

Most successful dropouts, like most graduates, continue life-long learning – usually training on the job, then taking courses that teach them to do the things they want to do. Graduates rely on their credentials, but as a dropout; on the other hand, you have to ‘prove’ yourself in different ways. Many A and B students are also dropouts. Many C students who drop out simply aren't interested in higher learning – they want to run a small business or work with their hands. They aren't interested in a college or university degree. And they often do very well in the trades or service industries. In fact, teachers often say “The A students teach the B students who end up working for the C students.”

Some people are very much concern about my education level. I’m touched by their concern but no thanks, I have my own plan and I have my own reason not to further (or maybe later). You guys out there don’t really know what I’ve went through and have no idea that what other things that differ me from others.

I would like to share with you guys who as bold as brass having DEGREE showing off to me they're having a piece of that particular transcript. (not all of them though). This article I've found from my cousin's friend's blog. Worth to share with.

Imagine a circle that contains all of human knowledge:

By the time you finish elementary school, you know a little:

By the time you finish high school, you know a bit more:

With a bachelor's degree, you gain a specialty:

master's degree deepens that specialty:

Reading research papers takes you to the edge of human knowledge:

Once you're at the boundary, you focus:

You push at the boundary for a few years:
Until one day, the boundary gives way:

And, that dent you've made is called a Ph.D.:
Of course, the world looks different to you now:

So, don't forget the bigger picture:

You see, having a Ph.D. does not means you know everything, you're just specialized.

Education is very important. Major very. It reflects the way you talk and think, nevertheless, your maturity is not being measured by highest level transcript that you have. Well just remember, you just know something but not everything. Not all the adult can think maturely. Whoever are you, wherever you come, which universities you graduate from, how much transcripts that you have, whether you finish your school or not, and whatever things people say about you, as long as you did not stop learn and learn, you are consider as knowledgeable person. Who are you now or in the future is not being measured by your 4 flat result. Learning about life is not something that you can get from the books, its all about EXPERIENCE.
