Jangan malas! Lazy is not accepted

My oh my, how time flies. I totally lost in my own world. How to write in this blog anymore? Can somebody tell me cause I no longer know how. haha. Just kidding. Well, well. First of all, assalamualaikum. No, I'm not going to apologize for being idle, cliche. Lol.

There are a LOT of things going on lately that I can't, I don't even have time for myself. Yes, I am a bad time manager. I would like to share about my experiences during my crucial time handling big projects. (Actually I'm sharing with future me. Lol)

Take a deep breath. My, oh my! I don't know where to start. Y___Y

*Bear in mind that my job requires a lot of detailing. D'uh~!

The keyword is, JANGAN MALAS! I used to take things easy but dealing with Oil and Gas companies like Petronas, Emerson and Alstom really taught me not to simply put things aside. I don't know, should I call this as bad luck? But I'd rather call it best teachers. Enough with the introduction, here comes the critical part;

MLNG - this project is a project that I take over from a colleague who had an accident last year. He'd on medical leave for about one month. When he came back to the office, I was so arrogant not to hand his project back and tadaaa, heaps of trouble awaits me. Nevertheless, that's not really an issue. The thing is, I don't really study the case. The proposal itself took about 9 revisions, what more when it comes to the approval drawings, it's 15 already! (and counting)
The sales person another factor. Lets not talk about their job scope and proceed with mine.

In the first place, I should've ask my colleague what is the special requirement and specifications for this project. But I didn't. I thought the information given by PIC is enough. But it wasn't. And resulting me have to do double triple double up the work.

Not checking the Mechanical Constructional Drawing (MCD) have resulting me:

  • Rework crucial parts
  • write few types of reports
  • lots of meetings (=_=)" which slowing down a lot of process

ALSTOM - I thought I'd checked the MCD right but I missed out a little (not so little, though) details. The access panels should be double leaves swing but instead factory only produce single leaf swing type. It might perceived simple but it wasn't! It was written in the specifications.
ALSTOM specifications! I have to study page by page =__="
See the red 'circle'? The result of not checking the MCD thoroughly. =_="
You might not see the issue, but please refer to the disclaimer*
See? We even have WhatsApp groups to update
 one another pertaining the projects

Wow, I never thought it gonna be a full 'report'. Lol.

Dear future me,
Please take note.

Regards,
