Diploma, Degree, Dr. or Drop-out?

I don’t think of all the above are essentially important, they’re just pieces of papers. What’s more is Determination and Discipline. Without these two elements you’re nothing. I’m not saying having those are not important but just depend on it so badly. They’re not your absolute destiny.

Just look at Bill Gates, he dropped out of Harvard University and cofounded Microsoft by the age 20, Mozart, wrote one of the best opera of all time by the age of 21.

My theory is, you should learn, and educate yourself all the way through your passage of life. Don’t stop learning. Prophet Muhammad P.B.U.H once said, should thou learn even have to go to China, whether you receive the cert or not eventually.
I, nevertheless, can’t help consuming myself from jealousy to those who earn masters and PhDs and Drs, but if you act and behave like you’re having none, I respect you no more.

Most successful dropouts, like most graduates, continue life-long learning – usually training on the job, then taking courses that teach them to do the things they want to do. Graduates rely on their credentials, but as a dropout; on the other hand, you have to ‘prove’ yourself in different ways. Many A and B students are also dropouts. Many C students who drop out simply aren't interested in higher learning – they want to run a small business or work with their hands. They aren't interested in a college or university degree. And they often do very well in the trades or service industries. In fact, teachers often say “The A students teach the B students who end up working for the C students.”

Some people are very much concern about my education level. I’m touched by their concern but no thanks, I have my own plan and I have my own reason not to further (or maybe later). You guys out there don’t really know what I’ve went through and have no idea that what other things that differ me from others.

I would like to share with you guys who as bold as brass having DEGREE showing off to me they're having a piece of that particular transcript. (not all of them though). This article I've found from my cousin's friend's blog. Worth to share with.

Imagine a circle that contains all of human knowledge:

By the time you finish elementary school, you know a little:

By the time you finish high school, you know a bit more:

With a bachelor's degree, you gain a specialty:

master's degree deepens that specialty:

Reading research papers takes you to the edge of human knowledge:

Once you're at the boundary, you focus:

You push at the boundary for a few years:
Until one day, the boundary gives way:

And, that dent you've made is called a Ph.D.:
Of course, the world looks different to you now:

So, don't forget the bigger picture:

You see, having a Ph.D. does not means you know everything, you're just specialized.

Education is very important. Major very. It reflects the way you talk and think, nevertheless, your maturity is not being measured by highest level transcript that you have. Well just remember, you just know something but not everything. Not all the adult can think maturely. Whoever are you, wherever you come, which universities you graduate from, how much transcripts that you have, whether you finish your school or not, and whatever things people say about you, as long as you did not stop learn and learn, you are consider as knowledgeable person. Who are you now or in the future is not being measured by your 4 flat result. Learning about life is not something that you can get from the books, its all about EXPERIENCE.

Lelaki, Dulu dan Kini.

Dulu,
Bila disebut lelaki,
Wanitanya mendongak megah.
Lelaki kami Asadullah, Saifullah.
Tokoh ramai tak terkira.
Kini,
Bila disebut lelaki,
Wanitanya menunduk lemah.
Tokoh kami sedikit sekali.
Ramainya, boneka yahudi.

Dulu,
Bila disebut lelaki,
Wanitanya tenang di hati.
Lelaki kami menjaga, melindungi.
Kini,
Bila disebut lelaki,
Wanitanya mahu cabut lari,
Lelaki khianat, perogol bersiri.

Dulu,
Bila seorang wanita teraniaya,
Sepasukan kuda putih membela,
Al-Mu’tasim kebanggaan wanita.
Kini,
Ribuan wanita suci dipenjara.
Fatimah diperkosa minta dibela,
Lelaki tunduk tak bertenaga.

Dulu,
Bila wanita di bawah jagaannya,
Lelaki memagari sehabis daya,
Tiada siapa berani menggoda.
Kini,
Bila wanita di bawah jagaannya,
Lelaki tak kisah auratnya terbuka,
Wanitanya dibiar bebas binasa.

Dulu,
Lelaki menggadai harta dan nyawa,
Untuk mengangkat kemuliaan agama.
Kini,
Lelaki menggadai ketinggian agama,
Demi nafsu dunia dan seisinya.

Dulu,
Lelaki bermatian mencipta sejarah,
Kental berjihad, tekun berdakwah.
Kini,
Lelaki hanya menyanjungi sejarah,
Dari bermalasan, tenaga tak dikerah.

Dulu,
Lelaki memperjuangkan Deen dan Ummah,
Al-Farouq, Zunnurain mati terbunuh.
Kini,
Lelaki memperjuangkan diri dan kroninya,
Hingga sanggup membunuh.

Dulu,
Lelaki bersatu menghadapi musuh,
Angkatannya kuat dan teguh.
Kini,
Lelakinya berpuak dan berpecah
Sesama sendiri saling bertelingkah.

Kembalilah lelakiku,
Pada kelelakianmu,
Kami rindukan lelaki dulu,
Acuan Madrasah Rasul.

Berubahlah!

Ketahuilah
Dalam perubahan itu
Ada turun naiknya iman
Dan tatkala kau merasakan dirimu lemah
Ingatlah kepada Allah,
Kerana hanya Dia tempatmu bergantung
Usah difikirkan apa yang manusia fikirkan tentangmu
Kerana manusia hanya akan mencari kesilapanmu
Manusia akan terus berprejudis terhadapmu
Dan sentiasa menunggu keburukanmu
Agar dapat mereka mengata
“Sesungguhnya aku lebih baik darimu”
Maka, jika terjadi
Bersabarlah;
Kerana ini adalah ujian Allah SWT
Untuk menguji keikhlasanmu
Jangan putus asa.
Allah SWT tahu apa yang tersurat dan tersirat
Kalau diikutkan, boleh sahaja aku
Menulis semuanya, dan disimpan sendiri
Tetapi aku tahu,
Adanya saudara-saudaraku di luar sana
Memerlukan dorongan
Sebagai wasilah untuk mendapat keredhaan-Nya
Maka aku mohon pada-Mu Ya Allah
Jadikanlah kata-kataku ini
Sebagai pembakar semangat mereka untuk berubah
Semata-mata kerana-Mu Ya Allah
Kerana hanya Engkau lah yang wajib disembah
Dan hanya dari Engkau kami memohon pertolongan.
Bukakanlah hati mereka untuk mengasihi-Mu
Sebagaimana Engkau mengasihi mereka, Ya Rabb
Kata-kataku hanyalah perkataan,
Andai tidak diizinkan Allah
Untuk menyentuh hati manusia
Dan hanyalah madah kosong
Andainya Allah tidak meredhainya
Aku mohon keredhaan-Mu, Ya Allah
Tetapkanlah hati ini…

Sekadar berkongsi,
Nukilan Wannuraisyah..

Welcome Daphne a.k.a. Dahlia Eleanor Iking

Assalamualaikum to all readers and Dahlia Iking.

Yes, you read it right. Daphne Iking or her Muslim name, Dahlia Eleanor Iking has embracing Islam in her life months ago, according to reliable sources it's in January. But I just heard it from a friend of mine last week (so 2000 and late. Haha). I was astonish. Shock in delighting way. Alhamdulillah, Muslims has another new member, welcome with warm and open heart.
Dahlia Eleanor Iking
This entry is specially dedicated to her simply because she's a public figure. She's a model and also the hostess for one of breakfast show in Malaysia. I know that she's not the only TV personality or anybody that converted to Islam but as a public figure, I really hope that she can be a good role model (sooner than later) as a good muslimah to other muallaf (people who just converted Islam). I also pray to Allah that she'll be strong in going through daily basis as Muslimah in her life. I know how hard it is to be a new comer since my father himself was a Chinese and he converted Islam few years before he met my mother. It was tough not to have someone to walk beside him through thick and thin when he'd been cast away from his family. (We reconcile back again years after that).

Dahlia Iking, I can say that she's very lucky to have family who understands and respect her decision. Now that she's the better half of Azmi Abdul Rahman, I pray that she'll be a very good wife and have someone to refer to should she encounter any question about Islam.

Dear Dahlia,

If you ever cross this entry, I hope you're not upset I'm writing about you. I once saw you at the Curve, Damansara last year I think (or last two years, couldn't retrieve the memory precisely) and I said to my cousin, "Hey, that lady, Daphne Iking" and we walk briskly for you're just like other celebrity I bumped into everytime I go there.. Now that you're on of our sisters in Islam, I feel that I have to write this to welcome you.

I hope your saying about embracing Islam is sincere and I know you've done a lot of research in order to get ahold of the truth. I'm glad the right path apparently unearthed. Please do remember that Allah is always with you, only if you believe so. And rememberence of Allah (zikrullah) will bring serenity to your heart and soul.
"Oleh itu mintalah ampun kepada Allah dari perbuatan syirik, kemudian kembalilah kepadaNya dengan taat dan tauhid. Sesungguhnya Tuhanku sentiasa dekat, lagi sentiasa memperkenankan permohonan hambaNya" (Surah Hud 11:61)

It's just that I find it unease sometimes to hear people talking about you saying that "Oh, she converted to Islam just by the name". As an educated TV personality, I'm again, hoping that you don't do such mistakes like any other few Malay artists, as bold as brass, show sinful attitude to the public.

Please don't compare their life with you. I know you have your own demeanor of intellect woman personality. I always admire those who have open heart and open mind. I strongly believe you can carry the title of good muslimah. You're not typical, I read your blog, it is so inspiring and stirring. Thus, anything that you do, I am certain will give an impact, even a tiny action you did.

I love my mum's once told me: "Umi (we call her umi, meaning 'ibuku') belajar dengan ustaz tadi (she go to Al-Quran class every weekdays), ustaz bacakan dari kitab bahawa agama Islam adalah agama wahyu, ia turun dari langit, agama yang sangat suci, terus dari Allah melalui wahyu yang malaikat Jibrail sampaikan...."

.......Of course, my mum just don't stop there.

Wallahu'alam..

PS: I would like to write to you personally if I've been given a chance.

Sincerely,
-nuha-

Always there for me, for you, for us

Nuha : Teh,bz x?
Ateh  : Ad ape.
Nuha : Xde ape,sje tnye. Erm,xpe la.. Next time.

I was texting my sister to ease my tense inside my head but as courtesy, I need to ask her availability as she's having her exam these few weeks. I know she got tonnes to read about but 'baggages' in my mind that I couldn't ease hoping to share with her. Nevertheless, since she didn't reply me, I know that she's up to her eyes in exam, hence I don't wanna be the boor.

(silence)

Then He came across my mind. Despite the 'loads' I've been carrying, which I almost breakdown and cry, I smile. My heart just now in a state of turmoil, suddenly feels splendidly calm in a blink of an eye. I know He's there. He always listen to my prayers. He never let me down. And I must say that this Quranic verses is so true, can't agree more on:

Can Heaven Wait?

Can Heaven Wait

Quarter after seven, got a phone call
Telling me to get here quick
Said your girl is in a bad situation
They don't know if she's gonna make it

As I hurry to be by her side
I ask a thousand times, why oh why
There's no rhyme or reason in my life
With you lying here this way

I'd give anything just to trade places with you
So I'm begging heaven down on my knees
To help you make it through

[1] - Tell me can heaven wait
Can heaven wait just one more night
Tell me what it's gonna take
To keep you with me in my life

Giving up the shame of my other life
Now I'm seeing things in a whole new light
Lord, I vow to change if you just make it right
Can heaven wait one night

Thinking back on times that I've wasted
I should have cherished every day
All the different flavors that I tasted
Can't compare to you, no way

As I reminisce by your side
Tears of guilt are streaming from my eyes
All the things I did that weren't right
Wish I could apologize

I'd give anything if I could trade places with you
So I'm beggin' heaven down on my knees
To help you make it through

[Repeat 1]

I'm gonna stop the world, reverse the time
Do whatever it takes to keep you alive
Heaven has to wait one more day

Baby, take my breath so you can breathe
I need you here so don't you leave
Heaven has to wait

The above phrases are lyrics form a song that I had not heard long ago, which remind me about my time back then when I was studying at a University college. When I hear it again, it comes across my mind, "Can heaven wait?" NO.

Can we delay the second of Allah's promise that "the Angel of Death, put in charge of you, will (duly) take your souls: then shall ye be brought back to your Lord." (Surah As-Sajdah 32:11)
I don't think so.
A011
Say: the Angel of Death, put in charge of you, will (duly) take
your souls: then shall ye be brought back to your Lord."

Hence, these questions keep traipsing lingering and tramping my mind:
  • What have I done in past years in terms of good deed?
  • How would that affect my afterlife? Hell or heaven?
  • Have I had all what it takes to live afterlife?
  • Have I performed good role model to my family?
  • Have I accommodate best daughter that my parents proud of?
  • Have I retrieve an amazing slave to Him or the poor one?
*sigh*

Let us improve on our 'ibadah as to gain His bless, and hopefully His heaven. Amiin~

'Ilm to share. Wallahu 'alam.
